MY FAMILY PODIATRY - PODIATRIST FOR CARSELDINE

Carseldine has the kind of mix you do not always find in the northern suburbs: established families, retirees, and the new Carseldine Village development bringing more young households into the area. We see patients from every one of those groups every week.

My Family Podiatry sits in Albany Creek, around seven minutes from Carseldine via Beams Road. On-site parking right at the door, full wheelchair access, and an appointment process designed to get you in, sorted and on your way without taking half the day.

Whether it is your first ever podiatry visit or you have been seeing podiatrists for years for an ongoing issue, the goal is the same: work out what is actually going on, give you straight answers about it, and build a plan that fits your life.

COMPREHENSIVE FOOT AND LOWER LIMB CARE

Our AHPRA-registered podiatrists treat the full range of foot and lower limb conditions for the Carseldine community. With the area's mix of families, students and longer-standing residents, the presentations we see are equally varied.

The most common reasons people from Carseldine come in include:

  • Heel pain treatment and plantar fasciitis

  • Achilles tendinopathy and calf injuries

  • Shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon pain

  • Custom orthotics and footwear assessments

  • Ingrown toenail surgery and conservative nail care

  • Diabetic foot care and general foot health

  • Children’s podiatry and growing pains

  • Sports injuries and biomechanical assessments

For most Carseldine patients, the appeal is simple: a short run along Beams Road, parking right at the door, and a clinic set up to handle most things in one visit rather than spreading them across multiple appointments. The depth of on-site equipment, including diagnostic ultrasound, VALD Force Decks and shockwave therapy, means we can usually assess, diagnose and treat in one go.

ADVANCED TREATMENTS FOR LASTING RESULTS

We use both focused and radial EMS Dolorclast shockwave systems to treat chronic tendon and muscle pain. Shockwave stimulates healing by improving blood flow, reducing inflammation and promoting collagen repair. This evidence-based treatment is recommended by Sports Medicine Australia for conditions like plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy.

Orthotic Therapy

Shockwave Therapy

Custom foot orthotics can help correct load and improve comfort in conditions such as plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and knee or hip pain. Each pair is designed following a full biomechanical assessment using the latest gait analysis technology.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Our on-site diagnostic ultrasound allows real-time imaging of soft-tissue injuries such as plantar fascia tears, Achilles tendinopathy and bursitis, helping us tailor the right treatment plan immediately. This non-invasive technology is the gold standard for musculoskeletal imaging.

MediPedi Foot Care

For patients seeking safe, hygienic, medical-grade pedicures, our MediPedi service combines professional podiatry care with cosmetic finishing. It is perfect for cracked heels, thick nails or dry skin. Unlike regular beauty salons, all our instruments are medically sterilised according to infection control standards.

Sports and Active Lifestyles

Carseldine has a strong walking and running culture, helped along by the trail networks around the QUT campus, the parks scattered through the area, and the cycle paths that connect through to Aspley and Carseldine Hills. We see runners chasing race goals, weekend gym athletes dealing with overload, and parents who have taken up training again now the kids are older. The goal is not to tell anyone to stop, it is to fix what is actually driving the issue.

Our sports assessments include:

  • Gait analysis (barefoot and in shoes)

  • VALD Force Deck strength and symmetry testing

  • Running biomechanics and training load guidance

  • Footwear reviews and recommendations

Whether you're managing shin splints, jumper's knee, or heel pain, we'll help you recover faster and prevent re-injury. We work collaboratively with physiotherapists, sports physicians and exercise physiologists for integrated care.

Children's and Family Podiatry

Carseldine has a strong family base and a long-standing junior sport scene through the Carseldine Crocodiles, the soccer clubs and the school networks. We see kids most commonly for heel pain during sport seasons (often Sever's disease, which sounds worse than it is), unusual walking patterns spotted at the kindy or early-school stage, and recurring ankle sprains in active teens.

Common paediatric conditions we treat:

  • Sever's disease (calcaneal apophysitis)

  • Osgood-Schlatter disease

  • Flat feet and high arches

  • Hypermobility syndrome

  • Sport-related foot and ankle injuries
